Our seasoned leadership group - with more than 200 years of collective experience - together with our highly-skilled manufacturing, R&D, Global Sales and Customer Support teams, allow us to deliver the highest-quality contract manufacturing solutions and meet the challenges of today’s rapid market changes.
As President and Founder of Group Intellect Power Technology, Daniel brings over three decades of power electronics engineering and quality to the company. With his engineering experience and driven, entrepreneurial spirit, Daniel started the business with 80 employees. Today, Group Intellect Power Technology has over 2,500 employees with manufacturing sites and design centers located in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Dongguan, and Saigon, Vietnam. Prior to founding the company, Daniel held engineering positions at Astec (Emerson Electric) and at Elec & Eltek in Hong Kong.
Daniel holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University.
Ivan Choi, CFO
Ivan brings over 14 years of financial experience and is responsible for our Group’s strategic planning and execution as well as overseeing our worldwide operations in the United States, Europe, Hong Kong, Vietnam and China. Prior to joining Group Intellect Power Technology in 2013, he worked for CPA firms, BDO Limited and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
Ivan graduated with a Bachelor of Commence (Accounting) from Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia. He also obtained a Professional Diploma in Strategic Purchasing and Supply Chain Management from The Institute of Purchasing and Supply of Hong Kong in February 2018.
Rob Carl, President, Brightworks, North America
Rob leads North America business operations with decades of global executive leadership – from Silicon Valley to Asia – as well as extensive program management expertise. He has been at the forefront of driving manufacturing excellence including lean manufacturing principles, new product introduction processes and management of cross cultural teams. Previously, he served with leading power supply and RF component manufacturers including GE Critical Power, Cherokee, Lineage, Spectrian and SL Power. In addition, Rob was a founding member of the international IEEE802.11 wireless communications standard.
Rob earned a Bachelor's degree from APU and a Masters from University of California, Irvine.
Greg Harris, Director, Business Development and Key Accounts, Brightworks, North America
Greg Harris is a business professional with over 35 years of experience in executive business development and marketing. He serves as business development consultant for Brightworks in the role of Sales Director and Business Strategist. Greg has worked and managed manufacturing operations, business units, marketing, field staff and internal support staff, and is committed to “finding success for the customer.” His previous work with manufacturers representatives, distribution councils, and advisory boards adds to Brightworks’ efforts to grow within the industry by utilizing the best opportunities to support our customers.
Greg holds dual degrees in Business and Psychology from Morgan State University, and a Certificate of Completion from the Deming/Conway Institute.
Martin Luetke Notarp, Managing Director, GIPT Europe
As Managing Director of Group Intellect Power Technology Europe, Martin is responsible for sales and marketing of all of our products in Europe. Martin has over two decades of sales, marketing and account management experience with international customers. Prior to joining GIPT Inc., Martin lead sales and marketing for FRIWO Gerätebau GmbH, a global designer and manufacturer of standard and custom power supplies, including chargers, LED drivers, medical, industrial and commercial external power solutions.
Martin holds a Masters degree equivalent and is certified as an Industrial Specialist, a publicly recognized degree at the Master's level.
Roger Gu, Power Supply Technical Visionary
Directing our technical and power supply product roadmap, Roger brings over two decades of power supply experience and has served as Director of Engineering for GE Critical Power and Delta Electronics. His experience includes engineering and R&D for various power electronics topologies, control circuits, Power EFT devices, thermal and electrical simulation and modeling. With extensive development expertise of AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC power supplies, Roger has developed power conversion solutions for leading global customers in medical, LED and industrial market segments.
Roger holds a Master’s Degree in Power Electronics from Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics.
George Loo, Brightworks Program Manager, Hong Kong
George has over 20 years in the EMS and CM field, having worked in NPI management and engineering management roles at Foxconn, Wong's Electric and Celestica.
George holds both a Bachelor and Higher Diploma in Electronics Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Joe Zhao, Factory Manager, Vietnam
Joe has over two decades of engineering and production experience for leading manufacturing companies whose end customers include Ford and Hyundai. Joe also held the position of Mechanical Designer for a major manufacturer of 40 GHz spectrum analyzers for military, laboratory and video applications. In addition, he served as a Sr. Quality Engineer and Production Manager for EuroTec International’s audio and guitar division. Prior to joining Group Intellect Power, Joe was the manager of the Strong Base LED screen vision factory.
Joe received a BSc in Mechanical Precision Engineering from Xi’an Electronic Technology University.
Jiang Jinqing, General Manager, Dongguan, China Operations
Overseeing our China manufacturing operations, Jiang brings decades of process control, project management and engineering experience for prominent power supply, battery and electronic component manufacturers. Previously, Jiang was the Engineering Manager for Samsung Motor Co., Ltd, a manufacturer of high- and low-power power products, white household appliance power boards and electronic components. While at Samsung, he led process development, review, and promotion of standardization and improvement of new and modified switch-mode power supplies. Prior to Samsung, Jiang was the Director of Engineering for Xiongtao Technology Company, a manufacturer of sealed lead-acid and lithium-ion battery systems.
Jiang received his undergraduate degree from Sichuan AG University with a special emphasis on automation and electrical controls. In addition, he is a certified 6 Sigma Black Belt and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
