Highly Efficient Desktop Models Meet or Exceed Energy and Safety Standards
ORLANDO, Fla. – March 20, 2023 – Brightworks Technology, Inc., a global leader in AC/DC power solutions and Contract Manufacturing Services (CMS) to OEMs worldwide, introduces its new GSD family of external power adapters for industrial and PC power applications. The new GSD models will be showcased during APEC 2023 in Brightworks’ Booth 108.
The GSD family of isolated AC/DC power adapters features 90 percent efficiency exceeding the U.S. Department of Energy’s Level VI efficiency requirements. The compact models deliver 60W output power with a universal input range of 90 to 264 VAC. The initial series includes four models featuring a precise regulated single-output voltage selection of 12, 19, 24 or 48 VDC. They adhere to RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, including the amendment 2015/863/EU REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006.
The compact external power supplies also feature:
- Small form factor 1.26”H x 2.17″W x 4.67L” (32mm x 55mm x 118.5mm)
- Wide Universal AC input
- .13W Standby Power typical at 115VAC Open Load Condition
- Full protection for Input UVP, Output OVP, OCP, SCP and OTP
“Our new GSD family is a testament to adhering to high engineering design standards that enable us to deliver an outstanding level of product reliability to our customers in a relatively small package size. Our design has the low standby power customers want and operates at higher than Level VI efficiency levels,” noted Roger Gu, CTO of Brightworks’ parent company, Group Intellect Power Technology Limited.
The use of low-power controllers, thermal management, quality electrolytic capacitors, patented magnetics, and layout contribute to the model’s long life and high-reliability design. The power adapters operate from 0ºC to 40ºC and can operate at extended altitudes up to 5,000 meters. The new adapters also comply with IEC/EN62368-1 and RoHS directives. The series is ideal for use with laptop computers, portable devices, test instruments, and small industrial equipment.
Samples of the GSD models are available now upon request, with production in 8 to 12 weeks ARO. For more information, visit Brightworks at: www.brightworks-usa.com.
