CARLSBAD, Calif., April 23, 2020–In an effort to support San Diego’s frontline workers in the battle against Covid-19, Brightworks Technology, Inc. delivered KN95 masks to Scripps Health of San Diego.
Robert L. Carl, president of Brightworks said, “We know how important the frontline workers and first responders are in our health care system, and in particular in San Diego county, where our people live and work. We heard the call for help with PPE under severe shortages in our region and contacted our team in Asia to see how we could assist.’’ Carl continued, “We are not a huge supplier, but in this fight every little bit counts. We recognized that if we all contribute in some small way to help fight the pandemic by protecting our brave nurses and doctors in their daily work, by providing desperately needed PPE, we will let them know that we care.”
Brightworks, in cooperation with its Asian operations team and a generous supplier in Dongguan, China, made the donation in Carlsbad, CA. While KN95 masks are non-NIOSH approved, the FDA has approved them under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for importation from China effective April 3, 2020.
